Summary — the full Travel Conditions, Safety & Privacy Policy applies to your booking.
1. Own responsibility and duty of disclosure
All guests travel at their own responsibility and accept the inherent risks of travel at sea. Although our enclosed, heated cabin makes the trip calm and comfortable, all sea travel involves motion of the vessel, and on open deck areas you may experience wind and sea spray. Boarding involves a few steps between quay and boat.
Guests have a duty to disclose any health condition that may be challenging during the tour — including but not limited to heart conditions, serious back or neck problems, late-stage pregnancy, reduced mobility or epilepsy. Please tell us in the booking comment field or by email to post@stillwater.no before departure. Failure to disclose relevant health information is at the guest’s own risk. Any health information you share is used only for your safety and is deleted after your trip.
2. Safety
All guests must follow the crew’s instructions at all times. Safety equipment is provided and must be used when instructed. The skipper may refuse boarding to guests who arrive late, are visibly intoxicated, or pose a safety risk — without refund. Children are welcome at all ages and travel under the supervision of an accompanying adult. Please arrive at Badehusgata 37 no later than 15 minutes before departure (30 minutes for wheelchair users).
3. Weather and cancellation by us
Tours may be cancelled or rescheduled due to weather, sea conditions or technical reasons — safety always comes first. If we cancel, you will be offered a new date or a full refund. In the rare event of force majeure (extraordinary circumstances beyond our control), the trip may be cancelled without entitlement to a refund.
4. Cancellation by you
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before departure, via the link in your booking confirmation email. Cancellations later than 24 hours before departure — and late arrival or no-show — are non-refundable.
5. Insurance
The vessel and operation are insured in accordance with Norwegian regulations for passenger transport, including liability insurance covering our passengers. Guests are responsible for their own belongings on board, and we recommend that all guests also have their own travel insurance.
6. Privacy
We process your personal data (name, email, phone number) solely to administer your booking, payment and safety on board, using European-based providers. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never store card details. Health information you disclose is treated as sensitive data, used only for your safety, and deleted after your trip. Data is not shared beyond what is necessary to deliver the service. Full details and your rights: see our Privacy Policy, or contact post@stillwater.no.
7. Liability
StillWater AS (org. no. 916 359 276) is the operator and responsible carrier. StillWater is not liable for injury, loss or damage except where caused by negligence on our part, and our liability is limited in accordance with Norwegian maritime law. Nothing in these conditions limits your rights under mandatory Norwegian law.
